Snow day!

It snowed last night. It’s supposed to snow again this evening. You don’t care, but I find it entertaining. Like gouda.

For those of you that consider yourselves writers, you may want to head over to Nathan Bransford’s blog, as he’s having a “best first page” contest. He’s an agent based in San Francisco with one of the better agent blogs out there. It’s not all that often that a pro gives those of us on the outside a chance to find out if we’re getting the job done. Good luck to all who enter, myself included.

My Chik-lit novel is entering Phase 2: wherein our dauntless hero (me) tries to rewrite the story from the guy’s point of view. Add to that all the querying I’ve been doing for the last two months, and it’s starting to hurt my head.

Michelle and I are off to Cannon Beach, Oregon next month for a little fun in the overcast. I plan on heading to Tillamook for some fine cheeses and a tour of their factory. I might even be able to convince her that the Evergreen Aviation Museum might be fun.

As you can see form the picture above, the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile was in town a few days ago. In addition to getting to see it up close for the first time, I also came up with a great idea for a detective, should I ever decide to try my hand at mysteries. I will keep you all informed...

Other than that, life in the Pacific Northwest is cold. Very, very cold. Which would explain why I’ve been wandering around town in shorts. Ah, hypothermia: it’s not just for kids.
